As AI conversations become part of everyday life, the real problem is not a lack of information. It is that the most valuable parts quietly disappear.
Conversation is still how I work with AI
New AI concepts, tools and applications appear every day. Yet as a heavy AI user, my most frequent action remains simple: opening DeepSeek, ChatGPT, Claude or Kimi in a browser and asking questions.
I use AI to research topics, work through difficult questions and explore one direction over many rounds. The browser and AI websites have therefore become some of the tools I open most often.
The more I used AI, the more I lost
Those conversations were scattered across platforms and long histories. Simple questions could be left behind, but the most valuable ideas often emerged only after many rounds of context and thought.
When I tried to find one of those ideas later, I could remember that we had discussed it but not the platform, date, conversation or topic. The material I lost was often the material that mattered most.
It felt like remembering a sentence that changed how you think, while forgetting which book and page it came from.
Where Mory began
I had three requirements for the tool
I did not want another complicated knowledge base. I wanted a tool that could save what mattered while the conversation was happening.

Lightweight
No separate desktop client and no new system to learn. Installation and first use should be quick.

Unobtrusive
Available when needed and out of the way otherwise. The tool should fit into AI websites without constantly demanding attention.

Save only what matters
Instead of capturing every page, save a passage, selected messages or a complete conversation like taking a useful note.

Those three requirements led me to build Mory, a Chrome extension designed specifically to preserve valuable information from AI conversations.

Mory is adapted individually for ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, DeepSeek, Grok, Copilot, Kimi, Qwen, Doubao and other platforms instead of acting as a generic web clipper.

Highlight like taking notes in a book
Select an important part of an AI response, highlight it, save it and create a share image when needed.

Preserves the original structure
Keep headings, lists, code blocks, tables, formulas and images instead of losing their layout through copying or printing.

One local library for saved conversations
Saved content enters one conversation library and stays in your browser by default. For now, that also means it does not sync automatically across devices.

Export to Notion and Obsidian
Move selected conversations into the knowledge tools you already use without repetitive copying and pasting.
A tool is valuable not because of how many things it can do, but because it is there at the moment you need it.
Who it is for
Mory is not a product for everyone
If you use AI conversations every day and have thought, “I know we discussed that, but I cannot find it,” Mory was designed for you. If you do not have that problem, you may simply not need it yet.
