1. Acceptance and scope
These Terms are between you and the Mory service provider and apply to the Mory website, including public pages, the account center and order or subscription pages; the browser extension and its internal pages; and related identity, email, subscription, payment, entitlement and support services (together, the “Mory Services”). The provider's registration details will be identified on the official website or purchase page.
By creating an account, installing, accessing, purchasing or using Mory, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, stop using the Mory Services. Personal-data processing is also governed by the Mory Privacy Policy. Clearly disclosed feature, plan or promotion terms form part of the agreement and control for that subject if inconsistent, unless applicable law provides otherwise.
2. One product across different surfaces
Mory is a local-first product for collecting, organizing and exporting AI conversations:
- Web: product information, registration and login, order and subscription management, entitlement views, legal notices and support entry points.
- Browser extension: user-initiated reading of supported AI pages; local saving of one response, a selection or a complete conversation; search, folders, favorites, tags and highlighting; share-card creation; and export to formats such as Markdown, TXT, JSON, Word, PDF or images.
- Shared online services: one Mory identity across web and extension; free, trial or paid membership, plan, subscription, entitlement, feature-capability and quota checks; and payment, email and support when enabled.
- Third-party connections: sending selected content to Notion, Obsidian or another displayed destination when you authorize and trigger it.
Website login and entitlement checks do not automatically upload local chat content to Mory servers. Supported sites, formats and features may change as browser capabilities, AI sites, third-party interfaces and Mory evolve. Beta, limited-time, free or upcoming features are available only as shown in the product.
3. Accounts and identity verification
Some local features may be available without an account. The account center, paid features, orders, subscriptions, cross-surface entitlements or other eligibility-based features require the same Mory account or another verification method shown in the interface.
Sign-in methods depend on the current interface and deployment configuration and may include email and password, email verification codes and Google. The extension uses OAuth with PKCE to identify the same account and encrypts necessary tokens locally. The tokens are removed or no longer used after sign-out or revocation.
- Provide accurate, current information that you are entitled to use.
- Protect your password, email, devices and sessions, and take responsibility for reasonable activity under your account.
- Do not sell, rent, lend or mass-register accounts, or circumvent plan, device or entitlement limits.
- Tell us promptly about unauthorized use, a security incident or an entitlement problem, and take reasonable protective steps.
Where a reasonable security risk exists, we may require renewed verification, revoke sessions or temporarily restrict related online functions. This does not authorize us to read chat text held only in your browser.
4. Software license, versions and updates
Subject to these Terms, Mory grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable and lawfully revocable license to use Mory normally while these Terms apply. No software, source code, trademark or other intellectual property is transferred.
Features and update timing may differ by browser, region, device, distribution channel or plan. Mory may update web or extension software to address security, adapt to third-party pages or continue the service, and some updates may be required for a feature to remain available.
5. Payments, subscriptions, renewal and refunds
Some features may require payment. The product or plan, price, currency, term, entitlements, billing period and renewal are those prominently shown and accepted before payment. A page labeled as test pricing, test benefits or not connected to payment is not a commitment that live purchases are available.
Mory will not enable automatic renewal by default unless checkout prominently discloses it and you expressly choose it. Where renewal applies, Mory or the payment provider will give legally required notice of timing, amount and cancellation, with a clear and convenient way to cancel. Cancellation normally takes effect after the paid period and does not reverse valid prior charges.
The payment provider displayed at checkout processes payment. Mory may receive the order, transaction and subscription results needed to grant or restore entitlements, but does not request payment passwords or directly store full card numbers. Keep the receipt and contact us for duplicate charges or missing entitlements.
You may request a full refund for any order, without giving a reason, within 7 calendar days of successful payment for that order. Contact Mory through the official support email and provide your account email address and order details. We will process the request within 1–3 business days; the time it takes for the funds to appear depends on the payment provider. Any more favorable refund promise shown at purchase, or stronger protection under applicable law, will apply. Other refund requests made after this period follow the pre-purchase disclosure, applicable law and payment-channel rules. Nothing in these Terms excludes mandatory consumer cancellation, refund, damages or other rights.
Free, trial and paid offerings may apply feature availability and daily or other periodic quotas. To apply them accurately, Mory may record feature capabilities, quota groups, operation IDs and reservation, completion, release or reconciliation states. The current interface and published access policy control.
6. Your content and the permission boundary
You retain existing rights in chats, notes, highlights, export files and other content you lawfully control. Using Mory to process, save, export or sync content does not transfer ownership to Mory.
For content handled only in your browser, these Terms do not grant Mory a server-storage or model-training license. When you instruct Mory to send content to a third-party destination, you grant only the temporary permission needed to carry out that instruction; the destination's own terms then apply.
You must have the right to process, save, export, share or sync content and obtain required permission for personal data, confidential information or protected works. Providing a tool does not give you rights in a third-party AI platform's content or another person's data.
When you intentionally submit an image and text to Mory Discover, you grant us the non-exclusive permission necessary to provide that feature, including storing, processing, compressing, publicly displaying and distributing the post, and updating or removing it at your direction. You retain your existing rights and may delete a submission in your account. Regular-user submissions may be stored while under review but are not public until approved. We may reject, hide or remove content that may infringe rights, expose private information, violate these Terms or violate applicable law. Rights holders may request removal through the official support email.
7. Acceptable use
Use Mory lawfully and fairly. You must not:
- collect, disclose or process another person's personal data, trade secrets or protected content without authority;
- infringe copyright, privacy, reputation, contract or other legal rights;
- bypass technical or payment limits, abuse interfaces, disrupt service or consume resources abnormally;
- reverse engineer where prohibited, attack or damage Mory, distribute malicious code, or undermine network or data security; or
- impersonate others, falsify payment or subscription status, obtain entitlements by fraud, or use Mory unlawfully.
With reasonable evidence of a violation, we may take necessary and proportionate action such as warning you, revoking abnormal sessions, restricting online entitlements, or suspending or terminating account services, and may cooperate with authorities where required.
8. Local data, backup and deletion
Content saved to the Mory library is stored in the current browser by default and follows your selected retention setting. Clearing browser data, resetting or changing profiles, uninstalling the extension, device failure or expiry may make local data unrecoverable. Closing the online account does not necessarily remove local libraries from each device; delete them on the relevant device.
Signing out, closing the online account or revoking a third-party authorization is separate from deleting the local library. Deleting the local library also does not close the online account or remove order, subscription, security or dispute records that must still be retained.
Export or back up important content to a destination you trust. To the extent permitted by law, where local loss results from a browser, device or third-party environment and not Mory's intent or gross negligence, we may reasonably help investigate but cannot promise to restore data we never possessed.
9. Third-party services and platforms
Mory is independent of third-party AI sites. Those parties govern the generation, accuracy, legality, retention and processing of original conversations. Changes to their pages, interfaces, accounts or rules may temporarily break Mory reading, export or sync functions.
Identity, email, hosting, payment, Notion, Obsidian and other third-party services control their own availability, permissions and processing. Review the target account, data scope, price and third-party terms before authorizing, buying or syncing. Local saving does not automatically become third-party sync; the interface and your settings control the scope.
Depending on your choices, the website may use Google sign-in, email providers, the payment provider shown at checkout and Google Analytics after consent. The extension connects to Notion or the Obsidian Bridge on your device only when you enable and trigger that integration.
10. Mory intellectual property
Mory software, code, interfaces, marks, documentation, website content and other provider materials belong to the Mory service provider or applicable rights holders. Without permission, you may not copy, sell, rent, sublicense, remove rights notices or exploit them beyond normal use. Fair use and rights that cannot lawfully be waived remain unaffected.
11. Service changes, interruption and termination
We may upgrade, adjust, limit or stop features to improve Mory, protect security, comply with law or adapt to browser and third-party changes. If a change materially harms a paid entitlement, we will give reasonable notice through the website, extension, account or another channel and provide continued performance, an alternative, a proportional refund or another remedy where legally required.
You may stop using or uninstall Mory at any time and may close an account through the interface or contact channel. Back up local data first. We may restrict or end online service for a serious or repeated breach, a clear security risk or a legal requirement. Legally required order, security or dispute records may remain for the required period.
12. Service qualifications and liability
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to maintain Mory, but internet services, browsers and third-party sites are uncertain. We cannot promise uninterrupted, error-free or permanent compatibility. Verify exported, transformed and displayed results before relying on them, especially in contractual, financial, medical, legal or other important contexts.
To the extent law permits, Mory is not responsible for third-party AI output, third-party outages, local data you did not back up, or losses caused by your unauthorized processing. Any disclaimer or limitation applies only where lawful. These Terms do not exclude liability for intent or gross negligence where law imposes it, or limit mandatory consumer refund, damages, complaint or court rights.
13. Updates to these Terms
We may update these Terms as Mory features, business models or legal obligations change. Material changes will be highlighted before taking effect through the website, extension, account notice or another appropriate channel. The new version will show its update and effective dates, and we will request renewed agreement where required.
14. Children
Mory is not directed to children below the minimum age at which they may independently agree to online services or personal-data processing where they live. A parent or legal guardian should review and agree where required and supervise use. Guardians may contact us if a child used Mory without appropriate permission.
15. Governing law and disputes
These Terms generally follow the law of the Mory service provider's place of registration, without depriving you of mandatory consumer, data-protection or other rights in your habitual residence. The parties should first try to resolve disputes through the official contact channel. If unresolved, either party may use a court, arbitration body or other dispute forum with jurisdiction under applicable law. You may also complain to a competent regulator or use local consumer dispute procedures.
